The Toledo Walleye inked deals with three defensemen and a left winger yesterday.

The organization agreed to terms with forward Jonathan Trottier and defensemen Iain McPhee, Nick Rolls and Steve Silver. The additions take the team's roster up to 20 for its training camp that begins on Oct. 1.

McPhee, 23, played four seasons for Windsor of the Ontario Hockey League. McPhee tallied 20 points (6 goals, 14 assists) in just 37 games for Windsor in 2005-06. He played last season for the University of Prince Edward Island of the Atlantic University Sports Association and posted 11 points (1 G, 10 A) in 27 games.

Rolls, a 24-year-old, recently completed his fourth season at SUNY-Plattsburgh, a Division III college. Rolls, a three time all-league player, had 102 career points (31 G, 71 A) which ranks him seventh all time among defensemen in school history.

Silver, 24, played four seasons at Western Michigan University and produced 13 points ( 4 G, 9 A) from 2005-09.

Trottier, a 27-year-old winger, played last season with Corpus Christi of the Central Hockey League where he had one assist in 18 games to go along with 80 penalty minutes.

The Walleye will skate for the first time at the new Lucas County Arena for practice on Oct. 4. The team opens its inaugural season Oct. 16.
