All 72 Walleye regular-season games and all potential postseason games will be carried live on WCWA (1230 AM) radio. The organization is in the middle of a three-year contract with the station.

All 36 home games will be televised live on BCSN, the local sports network on Buckeye CableSystem and a sister company of The Blade.

Matt Melzak will return as the team's No. 1 radio and TV announcer. Melzak, a St. Francis de Sales graduate, will be the TV announcer for home games and will serve as the radio announcer for road games.

Melzak, who filled the same capacity for the Toledo Storm, was selected as a member of the ECHL All-Star broadcast team in 2006.

Ryan Schuiling will be the lead radio play-by-play broadcaster for home games. Schuiling, a native of Ann Arbor, has been in radio since 1997. He most recently served as radio play-by-play voice for Central Michigan University athletics. The Lansing, Mich., resident worked for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL in media relations.

Melzak and Schuiling also will host the weekly Toledo Walleye Coach's Show at PizzaPapalis on WCWA from 6-7 p.m. every Tuesday during the season. The show will include Walleye coach Nick Vitucci and selected players and will feature ticket giveaways. PizzaPapalis is at the corner of Monroe and Huron streets.

INTERNET OPTIONS: The ECHL continues to expand its reach on the Internet. The league extended its agreement with B2 Networks to carry all of its games this season.

B2 Networks, which now operates as America One, has new features for the 2010-11 season. The Internet site will offer a pass system (nightly, monthly and yearly) which allows fans to watch multiple games during their subscription period.

The site also features an updated multi-player platform. For more info go to b2tv.com.

The ECHL also now has a new application for the iPhone. The app is called ECHLive Hockey. It features a searchable schedule that allows users to filter games by teams, dates and TV and radio channels. The app features team and player rankings.
