The Walleye organization is bringing back many popular promotions and also adding events and giveaways this season.

Fans will once again have the chance to meet with the players after every Friday home game in the Lighthouse Lounge.

Sundays will once again be Family Fun Days. The activities will include kids' design-a-sign, Chuck-a-Puck during intermission and an open skate after the games.

The popular Boy Scout and Girl Scout sleepovers will return. There also will be youth hockey, high school hockey, and adult hockey events throughout the year.

Here is a look at the promotions:

October

13 -- Opening Night: A FinFest pregame party will take place at 4:30 p.m. in The Aquarium. The free events feature drink specials, live entertainment, and special guests. A live ice sculpture carver, face painters, and street performers will greet fans. The first 4,000 fans will receive glow wands. Doors open at 6 p.m. Upon exit, 5,000 fans will receive magnet schedules.


November

2 -- Prior to the game, a charity contest will feature the Toledo Fire Department against the Toledo Police in the second Battle of the Badges hockey game.

7 -- School Appreciation Day

11 -- Veteran's Day as the team will honor veterans during Military Appreciation Night. Superhero Captain America will make an appearance.

17 -- Former Detroit Red Wings player Joey Kocur will be on hand for a pregame buffet and autograph opportunity in the Aquarium. The VIP dinner begins at 5 p.m. A life-size Spike Growth Chart will be given away to the first 1,500 kids (12 and under).

23 -- Celebrate Black Friday with prizes and giveaways. There will also be 1,500 turkey hats dropped from the rafters.


December

1 -- The overzealous Hanson brothers from the movie Slapshot will bring their hockey antics to the Huntington Center. The Teddy Bear Toss also returns as fans are encouraged to toss a stuffed animal onto the ice when the Walleye score their first goal to be donated to Lucas County Children's Services.

15-16 -- Santa Claus visits the Swamp Shop souvenir store to take photos.

28 -- A beer tasting event with sample beers and an all-you-can-eat buffet.

29 -- Ugly Holiday Sweater Night


January

5 -- Boy Scout Jamboree. Players will wear Boy Scout-themed jerseys to be auctioned off.

6 -- Dora the Explorer appearance. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Spike bobble-body doll.

26 -- The third annual Mite and Mini-Mite Cross-Ice Jamboree from noon to 5 p.m.


February

1 -- Mystery Puck Sale offers an opportunity to purchase a guaranteed autographed puck, but whose autograph is a mystery. All proceeds will be donated to charity.

16 -- Toledo Hockey Heritage Weekend Celebration. Players will wear Toledo Blades jerseys to be auctioned off.

17 -- Franklin the Turtle appearance.

22 -- A beer tasting event with sample beers and an all-you-can-eat buffet.

24 -- Mascot Mania night.

March

2 -- Pink in the Rink weekend. Players will wear pink jerseys to be auctioned off for charity. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Toledo Walleye pink glow wand. Girl Scout Jamboree.

3 -- Nick Jr. stars of Team Umizoomi appearance.

17 -- The Incredible Hulk appearance and St. CatTrick's Day celebration.

24 -- Social Media Night
