Strong finish for Walleye

TRENTON, N.J. — The Toledo Walleye bounced back after a loss Friday night to the top team in the ECHL so far this season.

The Walleye outshot Trenton 36-34 and shut out the Titans until the third period, picking up a 5-1 road victory on Saturday night.

Five different goal scorers tallied markers in the win for the Walleye (3-2-0) while Andrej Nestrasil had a goal and an assist.

Petr Mrazek stopped 33 shots for his second win of the season while in net for Toledo.

Willie Coetzee notched his third goal of the season to give Toledo a 1-0 lead after the first. Joey Ryan scored on the power play in the second before the floodgates opened in the third as Max Campbell, Luke Glendening and Nestrasil all scored.

Scott Wedgewood had 31 saves in the loss for the Titans (5-2-0) while Ray DiLauro scored for Trenton.
