Favorite way to spend time away from the rink: Fish and golf.

Hockey player you admired growing up: Steve Yzerman. No doubt about it. Even though I was a Leafs fan.

Favorite sport other than hockey: I like watching football. I went to a lot of games at Notre Dame. I enjoy playing softball.

Favorite type of music: Country

Favorite food: A good steak. I like to cook my own.

Have you ever eaten walleye? I went walleye fishing for the very first time right before training camp. We went out on Lake Erie but it was kind of boring. But we caught our limit and it's a great meal.

Favorite beverage: A good glass of milk.

Best fast food: Chipotle

Favorite Movie: Boondock Saints.

Favorite TV Show: Sons of Anarchy.

Describe your style: It has evolved over the years. In junior and college, I was a power play guy. Now I'm a reliable, shutdown defenseman.

Person you most admire: Dad, Tim.

Favorite place you've been to? Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

What's your hockey superstition? None. If you play long enough, you realize you can't do the same things every day.

Nickname: Neills or Onney.

What would you be doing if you weren't playing hockey? Pro bass fisherman.

If you were commissioner of hockey for a day what would you do? Raise salaries in the minors.

What song would you like to have played when you score a goal? “Don't Stop Believing,” by Journey.

Something nobody knows about you: My teeth are all fake. At least my front four are not real. It's happened over the years.
