The Walleye peppered South Carolina with 44 shots in an afternoon game today but Toledo could get only one past Stingrays goalie Shawn Hunwick.

Toledo saw its two-game winning streak broken as the Walleye fell 2-1 before a crowd of 4,227 at the Huntington Center.

Toledo finally solved Hunwick as Luke Glendening scored on a rebound off of a shot by Cody Lampl with 13 minutes, 24 seconds left in the game.

Glendening and Hunwick were teammates for four seasons at the University of Michigan.

Glendening was a captain for two seasons, while Hunwick was the Wolverines' starting netminder during the same time. Glendening now leads the Walleye with six goals.

Hunwick (4-3-0) finished with 43 saves. Toledo rookie goalie Kent Simpson made 21 saves.

Toledo's next game is on the road against Fort Wayne on Friday. The team returns home for a Saturday night game against Wheeling.
