The Walleye will welcome forward Brandon Svendsen to Toledo from the Rockford IceHogs.
Svendsen is no stranger to northwest Ohio, having spent four seasons with the Bowling Green State University Falcons. In 148 games at BG, Svendsen scored 32 goals with 44 assists.
Svendsen has been out since the end of last season with an injury and will see his first action of the season this weekend as Toledo plays in Greenville.
The native of Maplewood, Minn., has appeared in 230 professional games with Rockford and Binghamton in the AHL and Kalamazoo, Elmira and Idaho in the ECHL. He has 45 goals and 80 assists in his pro career, including 14 points (4g, 10a) in 39 games last year with the IceHogs.
The Walleye will travel to play Greenville on Friday night.
