Notes: The Walleye's roster will look much different than it did the last time they played at home on Jan. 6. The end of the NHL lockout has led to promotions for five of the team's top nine scorers. G Jordan Pearce also was lost to an AHL promotion. But others including goalie Kent Simpson, forwards Joey Martin, and Byron Froese have been returned to Toledo. … Despite the roster upheaval, the Walleye (21-16-4) capped a five-game road trip with two straight wins and are tied for second in the ECHL North Division. Toledo ended a five-game winless skid on Friday night with a 5-2 victory in Fort Wayne and then won 2-1 at Evansville on Saturday. … Toledo plays three home games this weekend. … Former Walleye G Jimmy Spratt, who played at Bowling Green State University, was signed by the team on Thursday. Spratt, who appeared in nine games for Toledo in 2010-11 (6-2-0 with a 3.14 GAA), had been playing in Quad City of the CHL (1-5-0 with a 3.79 GAA). … F Willie Coetzee, the team's leading scorer with 16 goals and 19 assists, scored a goal and had an assist in the ECHL all-star game on Wednesday. … With their 2-0-0 week against North Division foes last week, the Walleye now have a record of 14-9-2 in the division. Toledo is 4-2-2 this season against Kalamazoo (17-19-4). The Wings are fourth in the North, eight points behind Toledo. … The organization is asking fans to bring nonperishable food items or toiletry items to any of the home games this weekend for a chance to win prizes.
