Simpson reassigned to Walleye

Kent Simpson has been reassigned to the Toledo Walleye today by the Chicago Blackhawks.

Simpson, a goalie, was called up last week to Rockford of the American Hockey League and did not appear in a game with the Ice Hogs in that stretch. Simpson is is 14-10-0-3 this season with the Walleye, with a .906 saves percentage and a 2.42 goals against average, which is seventh in the ECHL.

The Walleye host Fort Wayne at 7:05 tonight at the Huntington Center.
