Toledo Walleye defenseman signs tryout agreement with AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins

Walleye defenseman Cody Lampl has signed a Player Tryout Agreement with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League today.

Lampl has appeared in 53 games this season with Toledo, scoring five goals with eight assists. The native of Ketchum, Idaho is currently a plus-16, which leads the team.

The 26-year-old played in one game with Abbotsford in the AHL during the 2010-11 season.

Lampl has also played professionally for Utah, Idaho, and Las Vegas in the ECHL.

Toledo plays at Fort Wayne tonight and at Evansville on Thursday before hosting the IceMen on Saturday.
