Favorite way to spend time away from the rink: I'm an outdoors guy. I like fishing and camping. During the season, I like hanging with the guys, going to the mall, playing video games, making dinner.

Hockey player you admired growing up: Rick Nash. He has a big body. He's physical and powerful and also brings offensive skill. He's also a leader.

Favorite sport other than hockey: I used to be a pitcher in baseball.

Favorite type of music: I like everything. Mostly I listen to Country.

Favorite meal: Steak and asparagus

Have you ever eaten walleye? Yes. I love it. We fish all the time in the summer.

Favorite beverage: Water.

Best fast food: I haven't had it for five years.

What would you be doing if you weren't playing hockey? I haven't thought that far ahead.

Something nobody knows about you: I went to school with 700 Amish kids. It was quite an experience. I went to college at the biggest hearing-impaired college in the country.
