Former BGSU defenseman Bobby Shea rejoins Toledo Walleye

Former Bowling Green State University defenseman Bobby Shea was reassigned to the Walleye today.

Shea, who had been playing with Rockford in the American Hockey League, started the season with Toledo. Shea played in the first three games of the season for the Walleye and had one assist. The former Falcon defenseman has appeared in 22 games this year in Rockford, collecting a goal and three assists.

Defenseman Russ Sinkewich also has returned to Toledo from the Texas Stars of the AHL. Sinkewich returns to Toledo after appearing in seven games with Texas in which he scored a goal with two assists. He posted 10 assists in 20 games with Toledo earlier this year.

Goaltender Brooks Ostergard also signed with the Walleye. Ostergard was in training camp with Toledo prior to the start of the season. He has appeared in five ECHL games this year for Idaho, South Carolina, and Wheeling.

The Walleye host Wheeling at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. It is the first of three weekend home games for Toledo.
