The Toledo Walleye added more pieces to their roster today with the signing of two forwards.

The team agreed to terms with forwards Mike Leone and Mike Seidel.

Seidel spent most of last season with Evansville of the ECHL where he collected 28 points (11 goals and 17 assists) in 57 contests. He also had one goal and two assists in 10 games with Gwinnett to finish out his rookie season.

Seidel, a 26-year-old native of Darien, Ill., collected 47 goals and 41 assists over 150 college contests at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Leone, a 26-year-old native of Dearborn, Mich., played last year with new Walleye goaltender Jeff Lerg in France for Villard-de-Lans. Leone had 11 points (7 G, 4 A) and 56 penalty minutes in 26 games. He spent the previous three years at Western Michigan University.

“We are excited [to see] their games go to another level,” Walleye coach Derek Lalonde said. “They are energy guys that play the game right in both ends of the ice. I love the work effort from each one.”
