Flood warnings for Maumee, Portage rivers
12/30/2005Flood warnings continue for the Maumee and Portage rivers according to the National Weather Service.
Minor flooding is occuring on the Maumee River at Waterville. At 11 a.m. the river was 10.6 feet and nearly steady. Flood stage is 9 feet. The river crested at 10.9 this morning and is forecast to remain near 10.6 through this evening before beginning a slow fall.
Minor flooding is occuring on the Portage River at Woodville. At 12 p.m. the river was 9.8 feet and falling. Flood stage is 9 feet. The river crested at 9.99 feet near midnight and is forecast to fall below flood stage this afternoon.
