Flood warning issued in Allen, Defiance, Fulton, Williams counties; Winter Weather Advisory for Lucas and others

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the Saint Joseph River above Newville, which affects Allen, and Defiance counties, and the Tiffin River near Stryker, affecting Defiance, Fulton and Williams counties.




A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. for Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky, Hancock, and Seneca counties. Michigan counties under a Winter Weather Advisory are Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee, and Monroe.

The National Weather Service reports that a Winter Weather Advisory is issued for a variety of Winter weather conditions, such as light snow, blowing snow, sleet, freezing rain and wind chills. While the weather will be significant, the word Advisory implies that severe Winter weather in not anticipated."
