The National Weather Service office in northern Indiana has issued a winter storm warning for Fulton, Defiance, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Allen counties. A storm warning is also in effect for Hillsdale County in Michigan.

Rain in these areas will change to sleet and freezing rain, then snow. Freezing rain will be the main threat Tuesday morning into the early evening.

Ice accumulations may exceed one quarter of an inch or more.

Precipitation will transition to all snow late Tuesday evening and will likely add to existing travel issues.

A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet and ice are expected or occuring. Strong winds are also possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
