Toledo Pride celebrates the LGBT community this weekend with a series of events. The main attraction is a noon Saturday parade and all-afternoon festival at Promenade Park, 400 Water St. Both are free and family friendly.

You Will Do Better in Drag offers a more party-like atmosphere beginning at 7 p.m. Friday in Promenade Park. Admission is $5 or $3 with a donation of cleaning supplies, school supplies, disposable plates or silverware or individually wrapped snacks. A “Big Rainbow Brunch Crawl” wraps up the weekend between 2 and 5 p.m. Sunday; Adams Street restaurants participate.

■ The 44th annual Birmingham Ethnic Festival returns to its one-day roots this year, featuring Hungarian food and ethnic dance, among other attractions, between noon and 9 p.m. Sunday. Festivities unofficially kick off at 7 p.m. Saturday with the 23rd annual Waiters’ Race.

The Waiters’ Race asks relay teams to compete carrying a full pitcher and two glasses of beer; it’s become one of the most popular festival attractions. The Hungarian Club of Toledo sells chicken dinners at Calvin United Church of Christ, 1946 Bakewell St., before and after the race.

Admission is free. Festivities take place around Consaul and Front streets; chicken paprikas dinners are available at Calvin United Church and St. Stephen’s Hall, 1880 Genesee St., beginning at noon Sunday. For more information, go to birminghamethnicfestival.wordpress.com.

Si Kahn performs a free concert on the lawn of the Manor House at Wildwood Preserve, 5100 Central Ave., at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Kahn, of Charlotte is considered one of the nation’s leading folk artists. He’s been performing for 45 years and has recorded 16 CDs. His performance wraps up a three-part summer folk concert series sponsored by the Metroparks Board of Park Commissioners.

No ticket is necessary. Maumee Bay Brewing Co. and a local food truck provide refreshments. For more information, go to metroparkstoledo.com.

■ The 14th annual Sunset Jazz and Art Festival is Sunday in Grand Rapids, Ohio. Suzanne Carroll, former host of The Jazz Brunch on 101.5 FM The River, emcees as local jazz musicians perform between 2 p.m. and dusk on the towpath behind Front Street.

Concessions, beer and wine will be available; downtown business will be open.
