Ashley McNair, a senior from Sylvania, plans to attend Miami University of Ohio or Indiana University. She plans a double major in education and Spanish and hopes to become a Spanish teacher. Ashley would also like to study abroad to obtain a better feel for Spanish and hopes to be certified in ESL (English as a Second Language) to allow her to teach English in a foreign country. Her favorite subjects are English and Spanish. She has a 3.52 grade-point average.

Throughout high school, Ashley has received academic achievement awards, plus a Spanish Conference award and the STAMP Volunteer award. She is secretary of student government, president of the Spanish Club and OFEA (Ohio Festivals and Events Association), member of the Challenge Cats, a school newspaper writer, and a lacrosse player.

"Ashley maintains a high GPA while participating in a large number of student clubs and organizations," said principal Stewart Jesse. "She holds an office in most of these organizations. Her friendliness and helpfulness are second to none."

Ashley is the daughter of Kevin and Renee McNair.
