Samuel Saccone, 17, became an Eagle Scout Oct. 2 at a ceremony at Hampton Park Church.
His Eagle project involved providing Salem Lutheran Church downtown with an integrated, maintenance-free computer network for school-youth programs.
The system is equipped with a printer, anti-virus software, and Internet access with parental controls.
A special room was cleared and organized for the computer system.
Sam also supplied technical support e-mail, a reference manual, and backup of all the computers on a removable hard drive.
Sam is the third member of his family to achieve Eagle Scout status. He is a student at St. Francis de Sales High School.
