Natalie Mitchell of Toledo was honored by the Lial School Parent Association with the 2006 Lial spirit award. She has served several times as an LPA officer, including president, and been involved with Lial School projects, such as the Spring Mission Fair.

The award was presented at the school's annual family reunion Mass in October.

Paige Devers, a freshman at St. Ursula Academy, won a sixth-place ribbon at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress held recently in Columbus. The Congress is the largest single-breed horse show in the world.

Paige competes in the novice youth and youth categories for ages 12 to 14 and showed two horses in five separate events this year. She was sixth in the novice youth hunt-seat equitation category, riding her horse through a series of patterns, an event that requires precision and good form.

Paige and her sister Brandi, a senior, ride on the St. Ursula equestrian team, which was named OIHA Reserve State Champion in Division I and Division III.
