  • Flowers are in bloom, and so are the fertile imaginations of youths such as those who attended a special program at Olander Park last week. A cooperative project between the park and the Sylvania Branch Library, 'Fabulous Flowers' introduced children aged 3 through 6 to care and feeding of plants. From left, Molly Mouch, Lily Simone, Ashley Newsom, and Sara Robbins, each from Sylvania, pretend they are plants sprouting from seeds, reaching for the sky.
