Delta

A garage sale to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team of Delta takes place from 8 a.m to 4:30 p.m. June 19 and 8 a.m. to noon June 20 at GB Manufacturing Co., 1120 East Main St. Donations will also be accepted.

Metamora

A townwide garage sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 20; rain or shine. A portable restoorm will be located at the corner lot at West Main and Swanton Street.

Point Place

Toledo

Toledo historical and architectural cruises on the Maumee River aboard the Sandpiper boat are presented by the Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor. The two-hour cruises take place from 1-3 p.m. Sept. 6 and from 8-10 p.m. Aug. 10. Local historian Fred Folger tells stories and points out sights. Two groups of students from France are to be in the Toledo area this summer through The World Exchange, a nonprofit educational organization. The first group will be here July 13-Aug 1 and the second group from Aug. 1-20. The students are aged 14-18, have full insurance, and are fairly fluent in English. Host families are required to provide a bed, daily meals, and time to help students experience as much of American life as possible. Program directors have planned at least two group activities. Art on Adams, an event featuring local artists from the MLC Studios, 7-9 p.m .at The Ottawa Tavern, 1815 Adams St. downtown. The event will be held every second Thursday of the month to give local artists and art lovers an opportunity to meet.
