In Sylvania, Wall of Honor is a moving experience

The rededication of WWII memorial that was moved from the former Burnham Bldg to Sylvania Admin Bldg prior to the former's demolition, on August 15, 2010, to makr the 65th anniversary of V-J Day, in Sylvania, Ohio. The names of 812 men and women from Sylvania are on the Wall of Honor, which was begun in 1943. Honor guards were from the American Legion Post 468, VFW Post 7131, and the Junior Naval Cadets. Rep. Veterans, from left, Bev Earl of Sylvania, Bob Dietsch of Swanton, and Gene Paul of Sylvania look at their names on the World War II memorial called the Wall of Honor. The Wall was moved from the former Burnham High School, of which Earl, Dietsch, and Paul are graduates, to Sylvania's City Administration Building. The former school has been demolished to clear the way for a new elementary. The memorial lists the names of 812 men and women from Burnahm who served during the war.
