Kristen Woodard has had a dramatic effect on the vocal music program at Evergreen High School since taking it over in August of 2001.

During this time the choir has doubled in size to over 85 members. More significantly, the public performances of our choirs under her direction have improved both in the difficulty of the musical pieces selected as well as the overall quality of their performances. Affirmation of this fact is reflected in nine of her students being selected this year for All-District Choir honors.

Under Mrs. Woodard's direction, the choirs have performed at the state level for OMEA adjudicated events, and the school has had student representatives in the Fulton County Honors Choir, OMEA District 1 Honors Choir, OMEA, All-State Choir, and the All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir. The high school ensembles have given seven major performances this year along with singing and participating in other events.

Mrs. Woodard also directs and produces the spring musicals at Evergreen High School, and she volunteered as band director for a week at Camp Lambec Music Camp in Pennsylvania.

"Kristen has a great rapport with her students," said Mark Basilius, principal. "She is dynamic in the classroom and her enthusiasm for vocal music is infectious!"

Mrs. Woodard has a bachelor of music education degree from Mount Union College and is enrolled at Kent State University for her master's degree.
