Teacher of the Month: Brad Oatman

Brad Oatman teaches at Southview High School.

Brad Oatman is an outstanding social studies teacher with a classroom that students enjoy. His lessons are always well prepared, and through the use of technology, he makes the lessons interesting. Teaching psychology, sociology, and advanced placement psychology, Mr. Oatman also finds the time to be involved in our after school tutoring/extra help program, and is active in High Schools That Work. He also has experience in special education, which helps him reach all types of students.

"Mr. Oatman is a favorite of the students because of his rigorous curriculum and his rapport with the students," said Dave McMurray, principal. "He has high standards and helps the students meet those standards."

Mr. Oatman holds a Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University, and a Master's in Education from MarygroveCollege.
