Group: 303 union officials made more than $100,000

A Teamsters reform group found 303 union officials nationwide collected more than $100,000 each last year, including three from Local 20 in Toledo.

The highest paid from Local 20 was President William Lichtenwald, who received $185,390 from the local, the international union, Toledo-based Joint Council 44, and the Ohio Conference of Teamsters, according to an annual salaries report from the Detroit-based Teamsters for a Democratic Union.

Also on the list was Cheryl Johnson, who received $160,526 from Local 20 and the international union last year. Les Singer received $130,625 from Local 20, the international union, Joint Council 44, and the Ohio Conference. Mr. Singer retired from most positions last year.
