Federal regulators have fined a Cleveland-area cleaning service $23,500 for workplace safety violations occurring in April at two Ohio Turnpike service centers near Genoa.

Any Domestic Work Inc., of Parma, Ohio, was cited for 16 serious and two other violations at the Blue Heron Service Center and the Wyandot Service Center during an April 23 inspection by U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration officials.

Violations included failure to provide adequate safety equipment, lack of training in the use of hazardous cleaning chemicals, failure to label the chemicals, and not providing employees with data about the hazards caused by the chemicals.
