Christopher Nance has been hired as vice president and chief financial officer for Fifth Third Bank (Northwestern Ohio). In addition, the bank has promoted Linda Brown-Ewing to senior vice president for community affairs and Alex Gerken to senior vice president for business banking.

The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce has received a 5-Star accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for its sound policies, organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community.

The publication Modern Healthcare has awarded Harold “Hal” Hawk, former chairman of the board of Memorial Hospital in Fremont, an honorable mention in the small-hospital category of its 2010 Trustee of the Year awards. Mr. Hawk is also president and chief executive officer of Crown Battery in Fremont.

Steve Dumke of Perrysburg has been named executive director of the Lutheran Home of Napoleon. He was the executive director of the Lutheran Home in Sandusky.
