State agencies OK aid to create, retain jobs

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority yesterday approved a tax credit for a Henry County project expected to create 33 jobs and retain 28, while the state Development Financing Advisory Council awarded a loan and other assistance to a project in Huron County to create 25 jobs and retain 134.

The tax credit agency approved a six-year, 45 percent job creation tax credit valued at $116,134 for Railtech Boutet Inc., in Liberty Township. The company makes maintenance equipment for railroads and transit systems.

The development financing council awarded a $2 million direct loan and more than $6.3 million from the Ohio Enterprise Bond Fund to NH Acquisition Corp. to build and install a second English muffin production line, an $8.32 million project.
