Husky to replace boiler at oil refinery in Lima

10/8/2010

LIMA, Ohio — Husky Energy Corp. plans to replace a boiler at its oil refinery in Lima this weekend, a spokesman for the Calgary energy firm said.

The boiler replacement is part of the refinery's routine maintenance, spokesman Graham White said. Lima residents near the refinery were notified, through a community hot line, that the work is expected to generate “louder than normal” noise at the facility.

The Lima facility has 580 employees and produces about 25 percent of the gasoline consumed in Ohio, according to Husky's Web site. Production and other operations at the refinery will not be affected, Mr. White said.
