Ohio gas prices edge down 2 cents from last week

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Prices at Ohio gas pumps are down 2 cents from last week as prices continue to play peek-a-boo with $3 a gallon.

A survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express shows Ohio's average price for regular-grade gasoline is about $2.91 per gallon, down from $2.93 last Monday.

Gas hasn't reached $3 just yet in Ohio, but in some parts of the country it's above that already thanks to rising oil prices. Last week, the cost of crude oil jumped above $90 a barrel for the first time in more than two years. Analysts say tightening supplies will eventually drive oil above the $100 mark next year.

One year ago in Ohio gas was a bit cheaper, averaging $2.52 for regular.
