SANDUSKY — Cedar Fair LP, the parent firm of Cedar Point and 10 other amusement parks, said Wednesday its revenue through the Fourth of July holiday weekend was approximately $372 million, an increase of 2 percent compared to the same period a year ago. The period is significant because it traditionally represents about 35 percent of the company’s full-year revenue.

During the holiday weekend attendance and average in-park guest per capita spending increased slightly, while out-of-park revenue, including its resort hotels, rose 3 percent.

“While it’s still early in our important summer season, we are quite pleased with these positive trends,” Dick Kinzel, Cedar Fair chief executive officer, said. “So far this summer, our western region parks have seen an approximately 8 percent increase in revenue on a year-over-year basis, while revenue at our northern and southern region parks remain comparable to this time last year.”
