Economic indicators in metro area fall again

For the second month in a row, the leading economic indicators for metro Toledo declined, after seven months of increases, a report shows.

Still, the index of indicators compiled by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services was stronger than a year ago, at 87.1 in September compared with 85.4 a year earlier.

Of Ohio's major metro areas, only Dayton and Youngstown had worse indicator scores than Toledo, the report released this week said. The statewide reading was 90.9 in September.
