Local accounting firm joins Ohio company
1/10/2012The Toledo-area accounting firm of Brell, Holt & Co. has become a part of Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co., one of the largest accounting firms in Ohio.
“For our clients, the only thing they’re going to notice is the letterhead is going to change. We’re keeping all the same people here,” said Clayton Holt, who was the majority shareholder of Brell, Holt and becomes the shareholder in charge of the Toledo office. “There shouldn’t be an interruption of service.”
The majority of the downtown firm’s clients are in the health-care industry.
“Presently, the environment is such that the clients are pretty demanding and they need sophisticated and focused services in order to compete in the business environment,” Mr. Holt said. “Certainly, Clark, Schaefer, Hackett can help us in that regard.”
Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co. has more than 300 associates in seven locations throughout Ohio.
