ATLANTA— Coca-Cola Co. is to offer midcalorie versions of its Sprite and Fanta in four markets for a limited time, the company said Monday. The drinks will be made with a blend of sugar and other artificial sweeteners, including Truvia, and will have half the calories of regular.

PepsiCo Inc. launched Pepsi Next, with half the calories of regular, this year. Both Coca-Cola and PepsiCo previously tried midcalorie drinks but pulled them off the market because of poor sales.
