Alan Woody has been named sales manager of residential and commercial sales for Maumee-based Harms Carpet One Floor & Home.

Stephanie Kirchoff has been named the Bowling Green store manager for maurice's, a specialty clothing store.

Karen Davis, a licensed esthetician at Bella Via Skin and Body Therapies in Toledo, has been appointed president of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists, a nonprofit organization designed to promote the highest standards of professional skills and competence among plastic surgeons and their skin-care specialists.

First Federal Bank of Defiance has hired Brian Schrock as information security officer. The University of Toledo graduate has 15 years of information security experience.

Laurie J. Avery has been chosen as one of 12 women to join the 2012-13 class of the Ohio Women's Bar Foundation Leadership Institute. She is the managing partner of the Toledo office of Reminger Co., LPA.

Patrick Czarny, general manager at Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center, was awarded the Tourism Impact Award at the 4th annual Celebration of Tourism. Also honored were Billy Peterson of the Park Inn by Radison (hospitality employee of the year) and Sheri Wenzelman of the Hilton Garden Inn (runner-up).

Erin Chandler has been promoted to senior finance manager at Whitehouse-based Mariposa Insurance Services.
