Already pegged to become reality TV stars, the auctioneering Rose sisters of Toledo plan to offer the chance of potential fame to other area residents next week.

Beth and Pamela Rose, whose planned show about their competitive auctioneering businesses will be featured on a reality show expected to debut later this year, are issuing a casting call for others to be part of episodes on their upcoming War of the Rose Sisters series.

The show is primarily about auctions that the two sisters conduct and the competition between them to outdo each other, so the show's production firm, Stone & Co., is looking for sellers who have interesting items and stories about their most prized possessions. The sellers will become part of upcoming filming, which is scheduled to get under way in late June.

Specifically, the producers are looking for hidden treasures in estates, liquidations, or collectibles, and want sellers who could be subjects of the shows to choose their "favorite Rose" to sell their items at auction.

Beth Rose, of the Rose Auction Group, will hold a casting call for sellers who want her to auction their items from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday at her office at 3430 Briarfield Blvd. in Maumee. Her sister and competitor, Pam Rose, of Pamela Rose Auction Co., will hold a casting call for sellers who want her to auction their items from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at her office, which is at the same address.

The half-hour War of the Rose Sisters had been in development for two years but was finally picked up by the Game Show Network, which issued a statement in March saying the show had been added to its upcoming schedule. A broadcast date has not been set but GSN said it had slated the show for the 2012-13 season.
