Genesis Healthcare to buy Sun Healthcare
6/21/2012Genesis HealthCare, the largest tenant of Toledo-based Health Care REIT Inc., has entered into a $300 million purchase agreement to buy Sun Healthcare Group.
George Chapman, chairman and CEO of Health Care REIT, said the two companies combined had $4 billion in revenue in 2011 and a new, larger Genesis HealthCare could substantially benefit the Toledo real estate trust, which invests primarily in medical buildings, hospitals, and nursing and senior care facilities.
