Bankruptcies drop 29% in NW Ohio

There were 401 bankruptcy cases filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Toledo in September, down 29 percent from the 568 filed in the same month a year earlier.

The court covers 21 counties in northwest Ohio.

It was the 24th time in the last 25 months that bankruptcies dropped from the same month a year earlier.

For the year, bankruptcies are down 15 percent from the same period last year.
