ADA, Ohio — The Community Economic Development Center, formed to encourage small-business ownership in rural areas, is open on the campus of Ohio Northern University.

It is scheduling one-on-one consultations and has planned workshops and classes to support individual and small-business owners in Hardin, Hancock, Allen, and Wyandot counties.

The center is in the university’s James F. Dicke college of business administration. It was made possible through a $92,000 Rural Business Enterprise Grant from the U.S. Agriculture Department.
