The Andersons retail store in Northwood will close in February, company officials said today.

Dan Anderson, president of The Andersons retail group, made the announcement at the store, which is attached to the now closed Woodville Mall.

He said the mall's closing last December and the building's continuing deterioration led to the decision.

The store will operate as usual through the end of 2012, then begin a 60-day store liquidation.

The Andersons opened its Woodville Mall store in 1988.

Other stores operated by The Maumee-based company will not be affected. The Andersons has stores in Maumee and Toledo, as well as two in the Columbus area. It also has a specialty food store in Sylvania Township.
