TPS Credit Union to change its name

TPS Credit Union will change its name effective Feb. 1 to Educational Community Alliance Credit Union.

The credit union, which has existed for almost 80 years, has 6,000 members and about $40 million in assets.

A spokesman said the name is being changed to make clear that the credit union is open to anybody in the education industry, not just Toledo Public Schools employees.
