■ Sandra Beidelshies has been named vice president of patient care and chief nursing officer at Wood County Hospital. She replaces Carole Matthews, who is retiring after 15 years in the role. Ms. Beidelshies has held administrative positions at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Mercy Health Partners in Cincinnati, the University Hospital in Cincinnati, Mercy Franciscan Hospital in Cincinnati, and Cardinal Health in Chicago.
■ Duke Wheeler and Kurt Pollex have been promoted to vice president with the Reichle Klein Group, a Toledo-based commercial real estate firm.
■ Hickory Ridge of Temperance, a Ciena Healthcare skilled nursing facility in Temperance, has been listed as one of the best nursing homes in the state by U.S. News & World Report. The rankings are built on data from Nursing Home Compare, a Web site run by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The Web site is CMS.gov.
■ Hylant, one of the nation’s largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms, said Mike Nixon, senior vice president, will lead the company’s southeast Michigan employee benefits operation and will join the company’s employee benefits executive committee.

■ APICS, the Association for Operations Management, will sponsor a half-day workshop from 1-5 p.m. March 19 at Holiday Inn Express in Perrysburg. The workshop is “The Beer Game: A Production/Distribution Simulation,” and it’s a demonstration of the importance of supply chain visibility in minimizing inventory throughout the supply chain.
