■ Melissa Underwood has been named branch manager of the Charter One bank at 3250 Lagrange St., Toledo.

■ Josh Swy has been promoted to director of design at MTS Seating. The Temperance company makes banquet and food-service seating for the hospitality market.

■ Crown Battery, which employs more than 400 people at its Fremont headquarters, recently received awards from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation for preventing workplace accidents and injuries in 2012. Crown was one of only three companies to receive awards in all four of the BWC’s safety categories.
