FREMONT — Sandusky County Commissioners have voted to renew, on a continuing basis, an 0.25-percent sales tax.

The county tax generates about $1.6 million a year for general-fund expenses, and was passed three years ago. It was set to expire at the end of September.

Commissioner Matt Damschroeder dissented in the 2-1 vote at a meeting Thursday.
