■ Renhill, one of the region’s largest staffing services, has been recognized as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the WBE National Council. The WBENC certifies businesses that are owned, controlled, and operated by women.

■ Edward F. Lonergan has been elected to Owens Corning’s board of directors, effective Sept. 18. Mr. Lonergan is president and CEO of Chiquita Brands International Inc. He previously worked at Diversey Inc., Gillette Co., and Procter & Gamble.
