Upper Sandusky firm fined $66,000 by OSHA

An Upper Sandusky, Ohio, electronics recycling facility has been hit  with a $66,000 fine from federal workplace safety regulators.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration said Regency Technologies did not take proper steps to protect its workers from cadmium, a toxic metal found in some televisions and electric equipment. The agency said it found eight serious safety violations, including surface contamination, overexposure, and a failure to provide workers adequate safety gear.
