If you have driven by the Wendy's recently at 26630 Dixie Highway in Perrysburg, you might not recognize it.

It has a different look than the traditional Wendy's restaurant.

Monday is the official reopening of the fast-food store, which had a makeover of its exterior and interior, similar to what the chain is doing at its stores throughout the country.

Kitty Munger, Wendy's spokesman, said about 100 of the chain's restaurants have made the change. The Perrysburg store is the first to do so in the Toledo area.

The renovations include an outdoor patio, large glass windows, and a contemporary exterior design. Inside, there will be booth, table, bar, and lounge seating, the latter with leather chairs. It will have Wi-fi, a television, and a fireplace. Part of the changes include new uniforms for employees and digital menus.

The first 150 people through the door at 10 a.m. Monday will get a Wendy's shirt that gives them a free cheeseburger for every day the remainder of 2013. At 4 p.m. Monday, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Nelson Evans and the Perrysburg High School Marching Band.
