A Toledo cab company has lost about one-third of its operators. The owner said they left the company over a dispute about an increase in processing fees.

Black & White Transportation will raise its fees for its vehicle owners and operators from $220 a week to $250 a week effective Jan. 6 — a decision that resulted in about 30 of its vehicle owner and operators leaving the company Friday, said Scott Potter, who owns the dispatching company with his wife, Judy.

Mr. Potter, who said that drivers own and operate their own vehicles and contract with Black & White for dispatching, said the decision to raise fees was based on such things as insurance rates and the price of gas.
