Over 100 tire workers in Bryan eligible for aid
2/26/2014BRYAN —More than 100 workers at Titan Tire Corp. of Bryan are eligible to apply for worker adjustment assistance through the U.S. Department of Labor.
Among those eligible are workers from Staffmark, Aeortek, and Sob 1.
The Trade Adjustment Assistance program provides aid to workers who lose their jobs or whose work hours and wages are reduced as a result of increased imports. The program extends benefits including training for employment in another job or career, income support, job search allowances, and relocation allowances. Titan makes primarily off-road tires for agricultural, earthmoving, and construction vehicles.
